This week, I had the privilege of interviewing my friend Alexa, someone who inspires me on so many levels. If you’ve ever wondered what really goes into the life of a content creator, this episode and blog are for you. Content creators truly amaze me. They craft curated reels, stories, and visuals that somehow stop people mid-scroll and draw them in. There’s an art to it, a discipline, and a way of seeing the world that I’ve always been curious about.
So I wanted to sit down with Alexa and tap into that creator mindset. I wanted to understand what inspires her, how she balances everything she’s involved in, and what the day-to-day of being a creator actually looks like behind the scenes.
Meeting Alexa
Alexa is a college student at FAU, and she also creates content for the university. On top of that, she works with the Montana Method, which is a studio I not only love but also work at myself. One of the first things you notice about Alexa is her talent. Her socials are creative, polished, and full of energy. She’s one of those young individuals who carries a quiet confidence. You can just tell she’s going to build something incredible one day.
There is something entrepreneurial about the way she approaches life. She doesn’t wait for opportunities; she steps toward them, asks questions, takes risks, and immerses herself in every community she becomes part of.
Faith, Purpose, and Inspiration
Something I love most about Alexa is her strong Christian faith. She is open about it, proud of it, and uses her platforms to express it in an authentic way. Her faith is part of what grounds her in everything she does. She even creates content for her church, which I think says so much about who she is.
Her voice and her presence actually got me back into going to church. It wasn’t something she forced or pushed. It was just who she is. She embodies her values naturally, and being around her makes you want to reconnect with your own.
The Day-to-Day Life of a Content Creator
When we talked about her creative process, what struck me most was the intentionality behind it. Content creation might look glamorous, but it’s actually a lot of planning, editing, researching, writing, and thinking ahead. It’s a blend of creativity and structure.
Alexa shared how she balances school, work, social media jobs, and her own personal content. Her schedule is full. Her days require discipline. But she also genuinely loves what she does. And I think that’s what makes her content resonate. It comes from a place of passion, not pressure.
The College Experience Through a Creative Lens
College can feel busy and overwhelming on its own. But Alexa manages to build community everywhere she goes. She connects with people, asks questions, and makes space for real relationships. I think that’s why she is so good at creating content—she understands people. She knows how to tell stories because she pays attention to the stories around her.
Why I Wanted Her on the Podcast
I wanted to bring Alexa into this space because she represents the heart of what TheMarissaEffect is about: connection, community, curiosity, and growth. She’s genuine, hardworking, and deeply rooted in purpose. Whether we were talking about faith, creativity, college life, or her goals, her answers reminded me that young creators are building more than content. They’re building their futures.
If you’ve ever wanted to understand the behind-the-scenes of content creation, or if you’re a student balancing multiple passions, or if you simply enjoy hearing about people who live wholeheartedly—this episode is for you.
Alexa is proof that when you follow your curiosity and stay connected to your purpose, your path becomes something beautiful.
