Last week, I decided to take a break from recording and sitting down with guests. I had been traveling for Thanksgiving week, and then the following week, I flew out to my cousin’s wedding up north in Maryland. And let me tell you, it was like stepping into a snow globe. The wedding was beautiful—Christmas-themed—and it literally snowed. The flurries were gentle and perfect, just like something out of a holiday movie. I couldn’t help but soak it all in.
During this break, I took some time to reflect on the podcast. I always try to do this, but having that quiet space really helped me think about the bigger picture. I wrote down my vision for next year and brainstormed some show ideas. I reached out to some amazing potential guests, and I am genuinely excited about what’s coming.
Some of my ideas feel really fresh. I want to bring on a doula, a midwife, and a biohacker. I also plan to interview the person who helped me navigate my student loans. She’s going to share tips on managing and repaying them in a positive, effective way—without letting it get you down.
I’ll admit, I sometimes get frustrated when I take a week or two off because it feels like it breaks my consistency. But the truth is, my podcast is always on my mind. I’m constantly thinking of ways to improve it, to make it more meaningful, and to provide value to anyone listening.
Part of that has also been refining my socials. I’ve been working on making them cleaner, more cohesive, and sticking to a purple theme. It’s a small thing, but it’s part of how I present my work and my brand, and I’m feeling good about the progress.
This week, I’m thrilled to bring on a guest who really excites me. Without giving too much away, we talk about content creation. Content creators amaze me—their ability to take ideas and craft them into something that captivates people is inspiring. The conversation with this guest was organic, energetic, and really easy to listen to. It reminded me why I love doing this work and sharing these conversations with all of you.
Taking breaks doesn’t mean losing momentum. Sometimes, it means giving yourself space to reflect, recharge, and come back with better ideas and energy than ever. And I can’t wait for what’s next.
