Living in Alignment: An Introduction to Ayurveda and Intentional Living

As I continue to lean into my 2026 theme of living in alignment and doing everything with intention, I have been drawn to conversations that reflect what it truly means to slow down, listen, and live in tune with the body. This week’s podcast episode is a perfect reflection of that intention.

I had the opportunity to interview Amanda Rogers, who has a deep background in Ayurveda. Our conversation unfolded organically as we explored what Ayurveda is, how Amanda discovered this ancient practice, and what led her to study it in Hawaii. What stood out most was how closely her journey mirrored something so many of us experience: the search for answers when our bodies are trying to tell us something.

Amanda shared that she struggled with digestive issues for quite some time. Like many people, she tried every resource available to her, hoping something would finally bring relief. Yet none of those approaches truly worked. It was not until she found Ayurveda that things began to shift. She described the moment it clicked, when she realized this approach was not about forcing change, but about understanding her body and responding with intention.

Through her studies in Hawaii, Amanda learned tools that helped her reconnect with her body on a deeper level. These were not quick fixes or temporary solutions. They were sustainable practices rooted in awareness, presence, and alignment. To this day, she continues to integrate these tools into her daily life, using them to support her overall well-being.

What I loved most about this episode is how clearly it highlights something we often forget: how much we can struggle when we are disconnected from our bodies. We live in a world that encourages us to push through discomfort, ignore signals, and keep going. True support comes when we slow down, tune in, and work with our bodies instead of against them.

This conversation also reinforces the power of shared stories. Hearing someone else’s experience, especially around topics like digestion, anxiety, depression, or feeling weighed down, can be incredibly validating. It reminds us that we are not alone and that healing can look different for everyone. Sometimes simply hearing what someone else has tried is enough to spark curiosity and help us recognize what might resonate for us.

This week’s episode is an invitation to listen more closely, live more intentionally, and honor the wisdom of your body. If you have been feeling out of alignment or searching for something that truly supports you, I hope Amanda’s story offers inspiration, reassurance, and a reminder that alignment begins from within.
