Dancing Through Life & Letting Yourself Be Seen — A Conversation with Scottiesutra

This week’s episode was one of those magic in the moment conversations. I sat down with my dear friend Scottie, and what unfolded was an organic, unfiltered, soul-led chat that reminded me why I started this podcast in the first place.

Scottie is… well, a force. He’s dynamic, spontaneous, endlessly creative, and honestly one of the most open and vulnerable people I know. When we first met a couple of years ago, I immediately thought, “Wow, you’re like me.” He was teaching dance and offering community classes on the beach here in Delray Beach, and I found him through a friend’s recommendation. Ever since, we’ve stayed connected, and I’ve just grown to love and respect him even more.

What I adore about Scottie is that he’s not just a dancer or a yoga teacher — he’s someone who deeply values the mind-body connection and lives that truth. He’s a storyteller through movement and through presence. He loses his train of thought just like I do, and that’s what makes our conversations so refreshingly human.

In this episode, we dive into what it means to be seen — and the weird push-pull of craving visibility while also wrestling with imposter syndrome. We talk about his journey as a dancer, how one thing led to another in his life, and where his creative energy is guiding him next. There’s something really therapeutic about hearing someone speak so openly about their fears, their dreams, and that liminal space in between.

We also had a few detours (because, of course we did). From Britney Spears to pop culture to AI and beyond — this episode has a little bit of everything. But at its core, it’s about being human. About connection. About allowing yourself to show up, even when it feels hard.

And if you’re craving movement and community, Scottie is planning to offer some virtual dance classes soon — so even if you’re not local, you’ll be able to experience his energy from wherever you are. Keep an eye on his Instagram @scottiesutra for updates.

This episode felt like a deep breath — come take one with us.

Until next time,

xo
